세상에 의미를 얹지 않은 채
그저 마음이 닿는 대로 걸을 때,
빛은 조용히 길 위에 머물렀다.

무겁게 바라본다고 해서
삶의 깊이가 보이는 것은 아니었다.

어쩌면
깊이는 무거움이 아니라
가벼움에 머물러 있었을지도...

본디 세상 속 의미라는 것은
세상이 품고 있는 것이 아니라
사람이 얹어 둔 것일 뿐이었다.

Without laying meaning upon the world,
I walked wherever my heart led me,
and light dwelt quietly upon the path.

Looking with heaviness
did not reveal the depth of life.
Depth does not arise from weight;
it may rest in lightness...

For meaning in the world
was never something the world itself held;
only what humans had laid there.
